Gut Health Specialist

My approach is natural, holistic, scientific and uses tested and evidence based recovery protocols. We help get to the possible factors contributing to your chronic fatigue and gut symptoms. The approach includes practices of well-known experts in the field.

Having suffered immensely from ME/CFS and many other related conditions, and travelled along the recovery journey myself, I totally understand your situation. As a result I am empathetic to your condition and I have acquired knowledge on my journey of which advice/therapies are likely to help and which are less so.
My Background
My Background is in Biology, Biochemistry, Health Science and Nutrition. After graduating from the University of Bangor I worked in laboratory setting in the pharmaceutical and food production industry.
I have also been continuously involved in my father’s analytical scientific instrument “Mass Spectrometry” business. I got into alternative/natural medicine and nutrition after my own health battle. My scientific/analytical background assisted me in my recovery journey.
My journey with ME/CFS & IBS & other associated conditions
After falling ill with a gastric bug during my BSc, my health gradually detireuated over 3 yrs. I was first diagnosed with a range of conditions and syndromes including: Functional Dyspepsia, Interstitial Cystitis, IBS, Dry Eye Syndrome, Overactive Bladder, General Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Depression and eventually ME/Chronic fatigue syndrome.
I lost my job, independence and was eventually bed bound. It soon became apparent that conventional medicine and the NHS could do little to help me. Being the type of personality that I am, and together with my scientific/analytical background, I began doing my own research. I did not believe that it was impossible to improve or even recover from this condition, as I had discovered other people with the same condition as me had recovered.
Gradually over 4 years I tried many alternative treatments as the NHS treatments gave little or no progress. There were setbacks but also huge improvements and steps forward. Through problem solving, diligence, determination, research, and patience I returned to almost optimum health. I then realised that through my own journey I had acquired the knowledge, and tools to help others solve the puzzle of ME/Chronic fatigue syndrome IBS and other associated conditions, thus developing the approach used at Syndrome Solutions.
